Join us to apply for the Cloud Network Engineer role at DigitalOcean. Were looking for a Cloud Network Engineer to be the foundational network and security expert for our Forward Engineering team. Youll design and implement secure cloud landing zones, configure hybrid connectivity solutions, and ensure customers reach DigitalOcean securely and efficiently. What youll be doing Design and implement secure cloud landing zones, establishing VPCs, subnets, and segmentation. Configure and troubleshoot complex hybrid connectivity solutions including VPNs, dedicated connections, and firewall rulesets. Establish and enforce networking and security controls (ACLs, Security Groups) to ensure a robust security posture. Collaborate with Platform Engineering to codify network configurations using Infrastructure as Code. Provide deep technical expertise on network performance, latency, and throughput during migration assessment and cutover phases.
Expected qualifications
5+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure, or cloud security roles. Strong practical expertise in routing protocols, VPN technologies, and cloud?native networking (VPCs, Load Balancers, Gateways). Experience with cloud security principles including IAM and network intrusion detection. Proficiency with configuration tools (e.g., Terraform) or willingness to adopt IaC principles for network management. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and connectivity issues in hybrid environments. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Compensation
$110,000 - $137,500 Remote role
