Position Purpose
This role will support the Threat Infrastructure Security tools in the Centene environment. This role’s focus will be Data engineering/science for a Security Data Lake and automation projects. This role includes developing strategy, executing design, and implementing efficient data pipelines to ensure a smooth flow of information into the Security Data Lake.
Responsibilities
Data Storage and Management - Store and manage the ingested data, optimizing data schemas and ensuring data quality and integrity.
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes - Design ETL pipelines to transform raw data into a format suitable for analysis, including data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment.
Code Review and Mentorship - Review code submissions, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers on best practices and design patterns.
Operational support - Perform operational work including troubleshooting and on‑call rotation.
Data Collection and Cleaning - Acquire data from various sources and ensure it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis.
Data Analysis and Interpretation - Analyze large datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends and insights.
Model Building and Evaluation - Develop predictive models, select algorithms, train models, and evaluate performance.
Data Visualization - Create clear visualizations (charts, dashboards, reports) to present findings to stakeholders.
Collaboration - Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand needs and deliver data‑driven insights.
Testing - Design and conduct A/B tests to validate hypotheses or test effectiveness of strategies.
Data Strategy - Provide strategic advice on leveraging data for growth and decision‑making, including identifying new data opportunities.
Automation and Optimization - Streamline data processes and automate repetitive tasks.
Continuous Learning - Stay updated with latest trends in software architecture, AI technologies, and development tools.
Problem‑Solving - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
Professional Development and Training - Conduct or participate in training sessions to enhance team skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 4–6 years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Pay Range
$85,300.00 - $158,100.00 per year.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job‑related factors permitted by law, including full‑time or part‑time status.
