Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop clinical strategy to align operations and clinical services to deliver top‑in‑class clinical outcomes
Participate as a member of the Division’s Operations Core Team meetings in developing strategic direction and ensuring supporting outcome programs
Build cross‑functional teams to deliver the needs of the clinical strategy
Participate in the divisional operations review process and provide requested reports and analysis
Participate in divisional Continuous Quality Improvement activities
Monitor implementation of and report on company initiatives
Identify issues that require the establishment of clinical policies and procedures or recommend modifications to existing policies
Monitor and report on the AOR investigation process within the division
Allocate resources according to divisional priorities
Training and Leadership
Ensure all new clinical teammates complete the DaVita Prep training program
Ensure timely completion of clinical training
Identify specific training needs and implement action plans
Direct the implementation of training materials and revisions from the national education team
Identify and communicate professional development needs and ensure a continuing education program is in place
Provide ongoing education support at the hospital level
Provide coaching and leadership, including effective performance feedback to the Clinical Team
Ensure the team supports and develops clinical preceptors
Develop a collaborative and unified team
Compliance and Regulatory
Ensure adherence to the DaVita compliance program
Ensure DaVita’s training programs meet or exceed federal and/or state requirements
Ensure proper documentation is submitted to the appropriate regulatory agencies when required
Provide oversight of the audit process to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency in approach
Assist in developing action plans and strategies to address deficiencies in partnership with operations management
Ensure division’s compliance with all laws, regulations and practice guidelines that impact nursing practice management and leadership
Requirements
RN or RD license required
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
5 years dialysis experience preferred
2 years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibilities
Strong communication skills, written and oral
Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor people
Ability to utilize resources to accomplish key metrics
Demonstrated team‑building and coaching/mentoring skills
Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to proactively identify and analyze issues and implement collaborative solutions
In‑depth understanding of facility operations and direct caregiver roles in mission accomplishment
Ability to seek creative solutions to challenges of adult learning, education and continuing education
Proven strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration
Solid reasoning, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to delegate appropriately
Detail‑oriented yet able to drive projects forward
