Position Summary:
The Director of eCommerce is responsible for driving the company’s digital commerce strategy, growth, and performance across all online channels. This role oversees end‑to‑end eCommerce operations, including Shopify site management, digital marketing, conversion optimization, merchandising, analytics, and customer experience.
Base pay range $175,000.00/yr - $235,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
Lead digital initiatives that enhance the brand’s online presence and customer journey.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align eCommerce goals with broader business objectives.
Shopify Management
Oversee the management, optimization, and performance of the Shopify storefront(s).
Implement and maintain Shopify Plus features, apps, and custom integrations to improve functionality and user experience.
Partner with developers and designers to enhance site design, navigation, and checkout processes.
Marketing & Conversion Optimization
Drive paid and organic traffic through SEO, SEM, email, social media, and affiliate channels.
Oversee A/B testing, personalization, and conversion rate optimization strategies.
Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, etc.) to measure KPIs and inform data-driven decisions.
Merchandising & Operations
Oversee online merchandising, product assortment, pricing strategy, and promotional campaigns.
Partner with supply chain and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless order management and customer satisfaction.
Build and lead a high-performing eCommerce team, including digital marketing, content, and operations staff.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Expert knowledge of Shopify and Shopify Plus , including app integrations, APIs, and custom development.
Proven success in scaling DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) revenue and improving conversion rates.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, UX/UI, analytics, and omnichannel commerce.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Salary up to $235k.
