Network Architect
We are seeking a
highly skilled IT Network Architect
to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in large-scale LAN/WAN environments, datacenter and security design, and network optimization. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with business objectives.
This is an
on-site role
in Lawrenceville, GA, and requires a successful background check clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and maintain large-scale LAN/WAN, WLAN, and VPN network infrastructures.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define architecture objectives.
Create detailed network architecture diagrams, documentation, and specifications.
Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols.
Lead implementation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Design and implement security measures including access controls, encryption, and intrusion prevention/detection.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and reliability.
Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
Provide leadership and technical guidance across IT teams.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience supporting networks in enterprise environments.
4+ years of experience designing LAN/WAN infrastructures.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience as a Network Architect in enterprise environments.
Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs).
Experience with leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Arista).
Strong understanding of security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
Proficiency with monitoring/management tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.).
Relevant certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP, etc.) strongly preferred.
