## Job Description# Applications Dev & Test - Software Database Engineer 4* Design architecture encompassing software, hardware, and communications to support current and future requirements.* Review, analyze, and create common queries and functions.* Investigate data quality issues and develop engineering solutions to address misunderstandings.* Maintain integrity and availability of shared data views and functions.* Ensure systems comply with internal IT standards and integration requirements.* Evaluate workflows and organizational processes to identify and implement corrective actions.* Provide daily supervision and technical direction to team members.* Apply metrics to improve code quality, stability, and adherence to best practices.* Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems for critical production data environments.* **Role Type**: Database Engineer or similar technical role* **Experience**: 8+ years in software engineering or data engineering* **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)* **Work Location**: Onsite only (due to access to specialized equipment and facilities)* **Remote Flexibility**: Not available; fixed hours required* **Python**: 8+ years* **Azure Synapse Analytics**: 8+ years* **Kusto (KQL)**: 8+ years* Experience with analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Grafana, Dynamics 365)* Work tracked via Agile sprints (2-week cycles)* Tasks managed in ADO (Azure DevOps or similar)* Evaluated based on quality of deliverables and ability to meet deadlines* Opportunity to create innovative, data-driven solutions for complex and unconventional problems.* Work with massive datasets—often billions of records per day.* Contribute to the design of highly available, scalable, and reliable data services and pipelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
