Position Overview The Lead, Onboard Revenue Data & Analytics will play a pivotal role in leveraging advanced data science and technology to drive Shore Excursions (Shorex) and Pre-Cruise Purchases (PCP) revenue growth. This role will focus on building scalable analytics solutions, developing predictive models, and implementing automation across all reporting and operational processes. It will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to migrate and optimize data infrastructure and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and advanced analytics to forecast revenue, optimize pricing, and improve inventory management for Shorex and PCP. Lead the collaboration with IT and the data engineering team to oversee the migration to the Alpha Data platform, ensuring alignment with business needs, data integrity, and scalable architecture. Develop Power BI dashboards to replace all Hyperion queries. Engineer and maintain robust data pipelines using modern ETL tools and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) to support real‑time and batch analytics. Develop new data objects and Power BI dashboards to pull data from the new reservation system. Help manage pricing, inventory, and promotional efforts in multiple online systems and provide a wide range of solutions and support to grow onboard revenue. Support Shorex and PCP teams in revenue generation by providing data‑driven recommendations and communicating complex results to non‑technical stakeholders. Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all analytics and reporting activities. Oversee analytical initiatives to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of pricing strategies during frequent PCP online promotions, guiding data‑driven decisions and continuous optimization. Work closely with Shorex and PCP teams to understand their business challenges and objectives and identify opportunities to develop potential business improvements and efficiency gains. Mentor team members and promote best practices in data science, analytics, and technology adoption. Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data science, analytics, and cloud computing. Respond to ad‑hoc data and analysis needs while supporting various projects and conduct analyses of business data, evaluate trends and pattern changes, and learn to disperse results in a format appropriate for the audience. Assist with the development of revenue and Shorex forecasts using benchmarking and other techniques to continually improve the accuracy of these forecasts. Represent onboard revenue when required specifically with many of the Shared Services departments, to gain support for initiatives. Qualifications and Education Four‑year Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA or MS preferred); or two to three years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarization and experience in revenue management, inventory and pricing concepts strongly preferred. Experience in cruise, casino, hospitality or a similar industry preferred. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic analytical skills are required. Expert‑level proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, VBA, and Alteryx is essential, as these tools are foundational to driving advanced analytics, automation, and scalable data solutions across the organization. SAS, Essbase, Hyperion, and database management/administration (DBM/DBA) preferred. Knowledge and Skills Strong written as well as verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work in global environment. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Finding and understanding the correct data sources for a given analysis. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple projects and responsibilities at once with little direction. Proven experience in project management. Understanding of the business to validate findings and conclusions and always ensure data integrity and accuracy. Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility. Facilitate meetings and present solutions to issues with groups while dealing with variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists. Ability to respond to inquiries from other departments, customers, or members of the business community. Knowledge and support of Photo, Internet, and all onboard revenue categories, with the ability to analyze and optimize data and reporting for these areas. Demonstrated experience in database management and administration (DBM/DBA), including support for cloud and on‑premises data platforms. Financial / Quantitative Responsibilities Support reporting, systems to support daily and strategic revenue decisions and analyses for the onboard revenue department, impacting the company’s annual net onboard revenue stream of over $1 Billion. Working Conditions Weekend ship visits and overnight domestic/international travel may be required.
