Job Details

Position: Security Professional – Unarmed

Pay: $17.51 / hour

Shift: 8‑hour shifts, full time

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC (hospital environment)

Responsibilities

Conduct unarmed patrols on foot or vehicle throughout hospital grounds; document observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.

Assist hospital staff with de‑escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary within company guidelines.

Transport patients to the morgue and escort patients from the helicopter pad to the emergency room when required.

Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.

Sound alarms and call police or fire department if fire or presence of unauthorized persons is detected.

Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited articles.

Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized individuals enter and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out.

Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.

Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required.

Qualifications (must have)

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current driver’s license if required to drive a company or customer‑owned vehicle.

Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment in customer service or protective services (security, healthcare, military, law enforcement, corrections).

At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by state law.

Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.

Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Strong problem‑solving, active‑listening, and conflict‑mediation skills.

Attention to detail and ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)

Military service related to law enforcement or security (Military Police, combat arms, etc.).

Graduated from a Certified Public Safety Academy or verified work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or firefighting.

Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.

Minimum of 8 years of military or law‑enforcement service.
