Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements, review concept of operations documents, and assess high‑level system architectures to develop detailed system requirements specifications and designs.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and technologies into ongoing operations, ensuring alignment with current system requirements.
Guide users in the formulation of security needs, providing alternative solutions and innovative approaches, and conducting thorough feasibility studies.
Offer technical leadership throughout the integration of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring all aspects are aligned and executed effectively.
Maintain and update the enterprise Access Control and Intrusion Detection drawing packages.
Perform design reviews for new building installations and renovations involving Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and VMS devices.
Assist in developing system and functional requirements, and allocate them to individual hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities based on comprehensive development and operational considerations.
Develop system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Conduct complex system troubleshooting for ACS, IDS, and CCTV systems.
Configure and program Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Management systems.
Create system documentation and white papers.
Maintain electronic rack‑lock access control.
Develop system design solutions that satisfy requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
Maintain enterprise test systems for testing, research, development, and enhancements.
Manage physical security system support to meet service‑level agreements.
Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems.
Alter and update Interface Control Documents, System Security Plans, Configuration Management Documents, and Contingency Plans.
Qualifications
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship, ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
System engineering experience performing designs, reviewing designs, and understanding drawing packages.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio.
Ability to resolve system problems, analyze data to prevent issues, and implement enhancements and updates.
2+ years of programming/administration of Physical Access Control Systems (e.g., DMP, Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, Digitus, C‑Cure, Basic).
Basic networking knowledge, system integration, database functionality, and enterprise communication.
Understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation with ATO processes.
Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory hierarchy and implementation.
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with Visio, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
