QA/QC Engineer - Data Center

Responsibilities
Review mechanical and electrical system designs, submittals, and installation plans for compliance with specifications and standards
Witness and verify system testing and start-up activities including HVAC, chillers, CRACs, louvers, and fire suppression
Conduct field inspections, identify deficiencies, and document corrective actions
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning agents to coordinate testing schedules and resolve issues
Maintain detailed commissioning logs, test reports, and punch lists throughout all project phases
Support Level 2 / Level 3 commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST)
Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes, and enforce QA/QC standards
Apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and safety procedures during all inspection and testing activities
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical systems within data centers, industrial facilities, or other mission critical environments
Experience with commissioning or QA/QC of MEP systems
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, plumbing, fire protection, and louvers
Familiarity with Microsoft CXPOR (8.2 or newer), Compass, and Nexus platforms preferred
Understanding of ASHRAE standards, NFPA codes, and commissioning best practices
Commissioning certification (ACG, BCA, or NEBB) preferred but not required
