Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Manager - Engineering is to oversee the assigned shop and its operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety‑related position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and oversee shop operations.
Prepare and maintain timesheets, sign‑in sheets, etc., for team members.
Coordinate property maintenance and scheduling.
Assist Engineering Department as needed to promote guest and employee safety and protect facilities as directed by supervisor.
Plan and organize special work projects.
Assist Engineers whenever possible.
Maintain a current MSDS book.
Manage departmental responsibilities including hiring, promotions, creating a teamwork environment, performance feedback, discipline, recognition, and termination.
Ensure safety and consistent, regular attendance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Team Members must observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct and behave in a manner that supports a harmonious work environment to help deliver unmatched service to guests and customers.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age.
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
High school diploma required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and written.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver's License (or other certification/license required by law or policy).
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the particular trade in which the shop is designed.
Demonstrated experience in personal computer skills and data entry.
Working knowledge of hand tools, electronic equipment, and time accounting estimating.
Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication across diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted as required.
Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
Interact appropriately with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
Be able to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
Work in a fast‑paced, busy environment.
Work indoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
