The vision of the Enterprise Resilience Office is to enable Vanguard to stay open and serve our clients in any scenario, no matter what happens in the physical, digital, financial, and extended enterprise worlds, through operational resiliency planning, independent points of view on preparedness, and being the catalyst for continuous improvement. The ERO is critical to maintaining Vanguard’s essential business services, determining what scenarios are most likely to disrupt the delivery of those services, and ensuring that we are prepared to respond.
Enterprise Resilience Office Focus Areas
Business Continuity: Overseeing crisis management and incident response.
Technology Risk Management: Offering risk advisory support to IT and improving Vanguard’s ability to recover from a cyber‑attack.
Third‑Party Risk Management: Stewarding the third‑party risk lifecycle and reducing extended enterprise risk.
Lead Data/Reporting Analyst The Lead Data/Reporting Analyst analyzes data, assesses trends and develops actionable insights and recommendations in support of large strategic business initiatives. Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally and participating in external events.
Core Responsibilities
Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Brings structure to business requests, gathers & defines the requirements, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross‑functional teams for large strategic initiatives.
Define, engage, and involve in developing Data Strategy Vision, Mission, and Roadmap for the Data Analytics team.
Should have a holistic understanding of data warehousing and involve in BI and Data architecture discussion and consultation.
Defining the project’s schedule and scope with timely and regular value deliveries, organizing & leading projects, and project status meetings.
Driving and delivering Agile projects that offer outstanding business value to the users.
Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness.
Must turn the raw data into information and insight, which will be used to make business decisions.
Performs analysis of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts.
Prepares and delivers expert‑level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
Develops, owns, and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching, and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent data storytelling and presentation (through PPT, etc.)
SQL and Python coding
Expert level proficiency with Tableau.
Tableau Certified Data Analyst.
Excellent stakeholder management, preferably interacting with senior executive leadership.
Nice to have Risk domain knowledge.
Nice to have AWS cloud experience.
Minimum of eight years of related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
