As a

Cloud Solution Architect

(CSA), you will become part of the next generation of sales leaders at Microsoft. With the aid of best‑in‑class sales processes, techniques and technologies, you will be empowered to shape customer relationships for a strategic set of Microsoft’s customers. These customers are adopting industry‑leading products and services for their businesses, education systems or governments. You will serve as the central point of contact for the customer across engagements helping to drive Microsoft’s existing cloud & enterprise consumption through developing and managing customer relationships.

This team drives growth for Microsoft by helping customers realize the value of the Microsoft Cloud. Powered by a world‑class connected sales and marketing platform, this team leverages marketing insights to reach customers when and where they want to engage digitally to help solve their business problems. We’re powered by the latest innovations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to engage with customers, collaborate across our global teams, and acquire and retain new business for Microsoft. Responsibilities

You will accelerate Azure projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration and lead team to actively engage account to drive services consumption and up‑sell and cross‑set to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual team targets.

As a strategic partner to executive‑level business and technical decision makers, you will guide customers in defining and realizing their digital and business transformational targets while leveraging your expertise in relationship building and influencing mentor team in building strategic partnerships.

Acts as the voice of the customer/partner, sharing ideas, feedback, insights, success stories and strategic/technical input with Engineering teams, Product Offerings teams and/or internal communities leveraging relevant insights from feedback tools and systems with minimal guidance from more experienced peers. Contributes to the identification of patterns across customers/partners/territories/industries and leveraging them to develop strategic and actionable insights. May present business cases to program managers, with minimal guidance, to influence product roadmaps, decision making, bug fix prioritization, and own and drive initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

2+ years software development experience

Experience with integrating AI into applications

Security Clearance Requirements

The successful candidate must have an active

U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance . Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification : This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification : This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship‑based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship‑based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified U.S. government clearance.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 5+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 3+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

2+ years experience working in a customer‑facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).

2+ years experience working on technical projects.

Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

Containerization experience /

Azure Container Registry, AKS, App Service

Experience designing and implementing

agentic

workflows on

Azure

(tool‑use, RAG, multi‑agent).

Proficiency with

Semantic Kernel / AutoGen / LangChain ,

Azure OpenAI ,

Azure AI Studio (prompt flow/evals) , and vector search.

Working knowledge of

Responsible AI

practices and safety controls; can document decisions and risks for audits/reviews.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC3

- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
