joining a dynamic team in a fast‑paced environment with engineering, migration, and operations. We’re looking for a self‑starter to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity, and communications.
We’re looking to fill this role with someone who currently has cloud experience, certifications, and the skills necessary to execute in large environments, is flexible, enjoys tackling challenges, and desires to join a large team building and sustaining a large, multi‑tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating it. Meaningful Work and Personal Impact As a
Principal Cloud Developer , the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:
Design, architect, deploy and maintain cloud solutions
Maintain the integrity and security of systems
Maintain all documentation
Support and develop automation
Develop in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python
Maintain and enhance knowledge of AWS cloud services
Monitor and tune the cloud systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Work across teams and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts
Handle escalations, make assessments, recommendations, or provide solutions to resolve issues
Compose and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The
Principal Cloud Developer
must have:
Education:
Technical training, certification(s) or degree
Experience:
5+ years of related experience with
AWS
cloud computing
Required Skills:
Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Bash, PowerShell, or Python
Development background in
Node.JS
and
React.JS
Understanding of RESTful APIs and event‑driven architecture
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high‑quality solutions
Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using
ETL tool
s
Experience with serverless architecture and/or containerization
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization
Preferred Skills:
Linux OS experience
Security Clearance Level:
Must be able to obtain a position of Public Trust.
Must be US Person:
Green Card Holder, US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, US Citizen.
Location and Work Hours Location:
State of Louisiana. Work will be performed remotely; occasional travel to GDIT’s Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA may be required.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $125,528 – $169,832 (actual compensation determined by experience, location and other factors).
