Maintenance Associate (Environmental Services Associate Maintenance)
Responsibilities
Assist in general operational maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the Community’s physical plant.
Coordinate necessary tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems.
Perform general maintenance work (light, electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).
Demonstrate excellent mechanical skills.
Understand HVAC and may operate/maintain equipment.
Replenish and maintain supply levels in work areas.
Ensure all tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, in proper working order, and properly stored.
Assure community environment and equipment are maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
Maintain equipment, report hazards, replace light bulbs, conduct daily inspections.
Follow safety practices (OSHA). Keep preventive maintenance log, schedule, and work‑order system.
Participate in in‑service training and maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
Submit weekly invoices and spend‑down report to Environmental Services Director.
Perform other duties as required. Keep laundry room clean; store chemicals per instructions.
Perform Resident Emergency Call System checks and report on‑the‑job injuries.
Communicate effectively with Environmental Services Director and team members.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping policies, laws, regulations, guidelines.
Understanding of biohazardous waste handling.
Competency in duties and responsibilities with sound judgment.
Valid Driver’s License, preferably Commercial.
Reading, writing, and electronic skills, including basic computer familiarity.
Strong presentation in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
Physical ability to bend, reach, push/pull, lift up to 60 pounds, stand extended periods.
