In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping PWPL fulfill its mission by ensuring resources are used effectively, transparently, and strategically. As part of a collaborative Financial Services Division, you’ll partner with library branches and work units to manage funds, monitor spending, and provide insightful analysis that drives decision-making across the department. About This Role

As a Fiscal Analyst with Prince William Public Libraries, you’ll manage and monitor assigned funds and programs to ensure they are accurate, current, and fully reconciled. You will process a range of financial transactions such as Purchase Orders, Procurement Card allocations, reimbursements, and budget adjustments; you’ll conduct trend analysis and research relating to department-wide budget and audit activities; and you’ll organize and communicate complex financial information or concepts to end users. You’ll be responsible for determining the appropriate actions and processes to utilize. This role is highly collaborative, with nearly all tasks requiring some level of coordination and cooperation with others. The tasks are generally varied and fast-paced. As a member of the Financial Services Division team you’ll play a key role in developing efficient systems with heavy consideration of the impact on the end user. Our customers are primarily our PWPL colleagues. Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience in public sector accounts payable and financial reporting Preferences

Experience managing or reconciling multiple funds and programs in a complex organization. Experience preparing, reviewing, and processing purchase orders, reimbursements, and procurement card transactions. Experience maintaining accuracy and accountability in financial systems or ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar). Experience interpreting and applying financial policies, procedures, or audit requirements in a government or public-sector setting. Experience collaborating with non-finance staff to clarify budget processes, resolve issues, or provide financial guidance. Experience communicating complex or technical financial information clearly to a variety of audiences. Experience identifying process improvements or implementing efficiency measures in financial workflows. Experience working in a team environment where collaboration and customer service are essential to success. Special Requirements

The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business. Work Schedule

This is a full‑time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The PWPL Administrative Services Center is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday and work time must be within these hours. This is a telework eligible role (1 day per week) that may revert to in‑office scheduling if business needs change. Hiring Salary Range

$65,910.00 – $79,408.88 per year Benefits
