Experienced Manufacturing Engineer
(Electrical/Electronics)
(Level 3) to join the team in Lemont Furnace and Smithfield, Pennsylvania. This position will support growth of the electronics and electrical manufacturing facility which supports defense programs from seabed to space. Position Responsibilities Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of related work experience or combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Experience in electrical/electronics manufacturing
Experience or coursework in 3D modeling applications such as Catia, Siemens NX, or SolidWorks
Experience or coursework using manufacturing execution systems such as TipQA Shopfloor Execution
Experience or coursework in lean manufacturing
Experience or coursework in statistical process analysis
