Warehouse Forklift Operator
Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full time stand-up forklift operators in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Warehouse forklift operator/driver positions pay weekly with hourly pay of $18.78 per hour plus shift pay of $0.50 per hour. Schedule is third shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am with days off on Saturday and Sunday night, unless overtime is needed. We want the right warehouse associate to join us at Ryder and work in the safest supply chain environment with state of the art equipment. Products being handled include frozen food in a cold storage facility. Equipment includes stand-up forklifts. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred. Valid forklift operator's license certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization. Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work using health and safety methods. Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts. Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices. Responsibilities
Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract. Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks. Responsible for dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.). Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
