We are seeking Histology Professionals to join the Labcorp team in Dallas, TX. Our Pathology laboratory provides high-quality medical laboratory services with the latest technology.

Work Schedule PRN 3rd shift.

Job Responsibilities

Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic exam.

Perform technical duties for production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens.

Section embedded tissue using microtome and mount sections on microscope slides.

Perform immunohistochemical tests on formalin‑fixed paraffin‑embedded tissue sections.

Process mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures.

Properly orient and embed surgical tissue specimens.

Prepare stains and reagents for special procedures.

Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.

Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments.

Perform and document equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, and quality control procedures.

Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and procedures.

Document problems affecting test performance and perform corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meeting CLIA & State regulatory requirements.

Grossing experience preferred.

Histology and/or ASCP certifications preferred.

Previous histology experience not required but preferred.

Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment.

Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.

Comfortable embedding both large and small specimens.

Accurate reading of all labels and documents.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Experience working in a high‑volume laboratory environment desirable.

Familiarity with laboratory SOPs and safety protocols.

Must pass a standardized color vision screen.
