Purpose: Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, efficiently manage pharmacy operations, ensure accurate prescription dispensing, supervise pharmacy staff, and comply with federal and state legislation and store policies.
Job Responsibilities
Provide prompt and friendly customer service through patient care standards.
Assist customers with locating products and providing OTC recommendations.
Fill prescriptions accurately in compliance with laws and company policies.
Affix labels, perform final audits, and offer professional consultation.
Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and clerks, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Respond to telephone and in‑store requests from customers, physicians, and vendors.
Communicate professionally with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers.
Ensure timely implementation of company policies and maintain state/federal record keeping for controlled substances.
Participate in audits and program offerings as required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Pass the NAPLEX and State MPJE exams.
Hold a valid state pharmacy license.
Maintain status as a Certified Immunizer and complete continuing education as required by law.
Complete all state, federal, and company training programs (e.g., HIPAA, CDR, I‑Pledge).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, record keeping, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Visual acuity meeting specified standards; ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Environment
Work primarily in a store environment with exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and equipment hazards.
Position requires standing for long periods and occasional travel by car.
Use of office equipment such as calculators, keyboards, and telephone.
