Business Loan Resolution Specialist - Credit Resolution Position #: 61-8502



Location: Bowie, Maryland, United States.

Location & Hours This position is hybrid. Employees work both remotely and in office on a formalized schedule. Consideration for location will be Bowie, MD.

Market: Mid‑Atlantic

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business related studies is preferred.

Minimum of three years within a banking or financial service environment preferred.

Minimum of one year of loan collection experience preferred.

Commercial loan collection experience highly preferred.

Summary Primary function is to reduce delinquency, attempt to prevent repossession/foreclosure, avoid legal action, and minimize charge offs/charge downs on assigned accounts through the department business system (CARM‑Pro). The role uses phone contact, letters, skip tracing, repossession, foreclosure, and other methods directed by Credit Resolution Officers to resolve delinquencies and return loans to performing status. The specialist will maintain CARM‑Pro records, recommend action, and manage collections activities. Knowledge of state and federal debt collection regulations is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day collection activity on assigned accounts through the CARM‑Pro system.

Analyze loan and collateral files to recommend actions to resolve delinquency.

Consult with CRU Officers and Business Bankers/Development Officers on specific account situations needing attention.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations relating to collections and ensure compliance with the bank’s policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

Acquire and maintain proficiency in bank policies and procedures, complying with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for management review.

Develop appropriate strategies and follow‑up on progress or promised actions.

Review loan files and documents under guidance of Credit Resolution Officers to understand transactions and circumstances.

Communicate various action plans to supervisors, management, and legal counsel for strategy development.

Interact with Commercial and Business Bankers during the collection process.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Knowledge and ability to use IBS Insight and CARM‑Pro software preferred.

Compensation and Benefits Wage range: $18.50 – $22.50 per hour. Eligible for approved overtime.

Paid Time Off: 17 days. Short‑Term Disability: 5 days. 11 annual paid holidays and 1 floating holiday.
