Role Summary The Field Service Technician installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs Flowserve’s pumps, seals, and other equipment at customer facilities. The technician provides real‑time technical support, recommends repairs or upgrades, and works independently to solve problems onsite.

Responsibilities

Make direct, in‑person service calls in response to customer requests.

Assess mechanical problems and take actions to resolve promptly.

Work side‑by‑side with customer personnel, and lead work crews as required.

Oversee the full repair cycle: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.

Ensure equipment is installed successfully and on time.

Check equipment prior to start‑up and assess performance.

Monitor maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.

Train customers in proper operating and maintenance procedures.

Collaborate with repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.

Maintain organized, accurate records, including daily reports and time/materials charges.

Communicate Flowserve’s values of ethics, safety, and quality through actions and words.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge of industrial applications and operations of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment.

Experience installing mechanical equipment.

Experience repairing pump equipment, installing mechanical seals, and changing seal faces, gaskets, or O‑rings.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.

Self‑starter with good follow‑through, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Ability to travel globally for extended periods.

Willingness to work overtime as required.

Physical activity: frequent lifting up to 50 lb (25 kg), climbing ladders, and working around large equipment, often outdoors year‑round.

Acceptable travel requirements: up to 50 % travel.

Preferred Experience

High school diploma / GED and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Professional certifications in this field.

Ability to work collaboratively with unfamiliar teams.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
