Electrical Engineer, Printed Circuit Designer
Join Körber Supply Chain as an Electrical Engineer, Printed Circuit Designer and help develop future technologies. In this role you will design and develop analog and digital circuit schematics, select components, generate documentation, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities
Design and develop analog and digital circuit schematics using Mentor PADS schematic design tools.
Select electronic components based on electrical requirements, cost, and availability.
Generate and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, schematics, test reports, and revision history.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and third‑party PCB layout engineers to ensure all requirements and specifications are met, and to optimize signal integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
Develop test procedures and validate electrical performance through simulation, prototyping, and hands‑on lab testing.
Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Support board bring‑up, debugging, and design validation throughout the product development lifecycle.
Produce reports on project progress and other details for managerial staff.
Interface with vendors, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to support PCB fabrication and assembly.
Test new systems and make design changes if needed.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in design technologies, troubleshoot and resolve design‑related circuit‑level and system‑level issues during prototyping and production.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Mentor PADS schematic design tools and SAP.
Solid understanding of electronic components, circuit theory, signal processing, and power systems.
Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
Familiarity with high‑speed digital design, power management, or mixed‑signal circuits is a plus.
Strong knowledge of North American standards: NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA, as well as International and European standards: IEC/CE.
Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Experience working in multi‑functional teams.
Proven experience in PCB design, manufacturing process, and principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience with hardware development and PCB design.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Proven knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
