Manufacturing Engineer 1 . The work will be done onsite at our client’s facility in Pontiac, IL. This is a long‑term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is

$28.30/hr + full benefits

(vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).

Job Summary We are seeking an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer to support production, cost, and quality improvement initiatives for fuel injector assembly. The engineer will provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing efficiency, troubleshoot assembly issues, and assist in developing world‑class manufacturing and assembly processes. This position offers exposure to complex manufacturing systems and collaboration across engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

Study time, motion, methods, and speed in production to improve efficiency and establish standard rates.

Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure quality and reliability standards are met.

Analyze production data, worker logs, and test results to maintain quality compliance.

Assist in planning and optimizing workflows, floor layouts, and machine utilization.

Troubleshoot assembly equipment and support continuous improvement projects.

Create and update APQP elements, including Process Flow, Control Plans, and PFMEA documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).

0–2 years of relevant manufacturing or production engineering experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to fuel systems or component assembly environments.

Hands‑on experience with CAD tools.
