Summary The NP will perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This includes complete, detailed and accurate histories; reviewing patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports; completing physical examinations; making diagnoses and instituting therapy, including drug therapy; instituting emergency measures and treatment; arranging hospital admissions and discharges; completing hospital rounds; providing instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients. The position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience Master of Science in Nursing degree required. Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required.
License / Certification Active Nurse Practitioner license required, including through ANCC or AANP. BLS certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of basic Windows-based PC operations.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a professional and customer-centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday, mobility 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Intent to be protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
