Director of Strategic Growth at District Partners District Partners Executive Search has been exclusively retained by a privately backed wealth management platform supported by one of the industry’s leading capital partners.
With over $60B in assets added through nearly 200 transactions, this organization is reshaping the retirement and wealth advisory landscape by investing in future-forward firms and empowering them with unmatched growth infrastructure, M&A capital, and strategic resources.
This is not a traditional sales desk role. It is a high-impact consulting and business development position at the intersection of institutional retirement plans, wealth management strategy, and corporate development. You’ll be responsible for building strategic retirement plan relationships (401(k), 403(b), Cash Balance, etc.) while collaborating with advisory teams and executive leadership to drive organic growth, deepen enterprise partnerships, and deliver value to clients seeking a differentiated advisory experience.

What You’ll Do:
Serve as a trusted consultant and growth leader focused on acquiring and expanding retirement plan relationships(mid-market to large institutional plans)
Develop strategic partnerships with plan sponsors, CPA firms, recordkeepers, TPAs, and COIs
Lead consultative conversations around plan design, fiduciary services, investment advisory, and participant outcomes
Collaborate closely with partner firm advisory teams to convert prospects into long-term institutional client relationships
Utilize CRM and advanced prospect intelligence tools to segment markets, prioritize targets, and execute multi-touch engagement strategies
Attend and lead new business meetings alongside partner firm executives—gaining direct exposure to plan governance, negotiation, and contracting
Drive measurable growth in AUM/AUA through both organic outreach and strategic joint venture opportunities
What You’ll Have:
2+ years of direct experience in retirement plans, 401(k) consulting, institutional sales, or RIA/recordkeeper/TPA business development
Demonstrated track record of driving new plan acquisitions or meaningful expansion
Experience in fiduciary frameworks, retirement plan advisory services, or ERISA consulting is strongly preferred
Familiarity with RIA, wealth management, or asset management channels
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable working in a fast-growth, deal-oriented environment

You are seated at the table with advisors, partners, and C-suite executives building long-term enterprise relationships
