Description As a Publix Pharmacy Associate, you’ll experience a patient‑centric environment with clinical services such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). In addition to shared basic responsibilities, a Floating Pharmacist’s duties include the following.
Responsibilities
Provide dedication to each pharmacy’s success by executing strategy, motivating and inspiring staff as pharmacist‑on‑duty.
Set priorities to maximize contribution, execute daily tasks, support the team, and build rapport with customers and associates.
Deliver best‑in‑class pharmacy service to patients, empower staff, build personalized relationships, promote customer loyalty, and lead clinical services to improve health and wellness.
Inspire teams to do the right thing, gain buy‑in, and empower accountability.
Provide enthusiasm for new pharmacy initiatives at your assigned location.
Manage team performance, ensuring prescription promise time and complex operations are met efficiently.
Make sound business decisions while covering as pharmacist‑on‑duty.
Serve as an expert on pharmacy technology systems for routine and complex prescription processing.
Mentor others to maximize sales, minimize shrink, and meet customer needs using programs such as auto‑refill and Sync Your Refills.
Proactively advance pharmacy clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations.
Maintain a flexible work‑week schedule to meet customer needs.
Assist in all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
Must hold and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to health insurance program participation.
Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company‑sponsored drug test within the last three years.
Preferred Qualifications
Be an immunizing pharmacist, or be scheduled to become an immunizer in the next training cycle.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems.
Numerical and financial aptitude.
Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
