Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr
Summary The Krill Co., Inc. is in search of a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will assist the accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records and performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks. This position is mid-level with potential for career growth to Project Accountant.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Assisting with accounting activities pertaining to all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and month/year end close procedures.
Prepare weekly accounts payable check runs.
Perform departmental responsibilities such as 401k processing, credit card transactions processing and account reconciliations.
Review and reconcile monthly subcontractor activity.
Prepare and maintain accurate accounting documents and records.
Review and reconcile monthly accounts payable statements.
Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Some post-secondary education or technical training in accounting or related fields.
Must have proven 5+ years’ experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Must be skilled with MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong time management, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Good people skills.
Knowledge of construction-specific accounting practices is a plus.
Salary Range $45,000 - $55,000
