Field Service Engineer – Bruker Daltonics Position can be based in Maryland or New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Familiarize and train customers on basic operation of the equipment.

Perform remote support and diagnostic analysis to determine if on‑site corrective maintenance is required.

Organize and prioritize the schedule in accordance with customer requirements for immediate on‑site visits and remote assistance.

Re‑qualify the entire instrument after service repairs by running complex compounds for verification.

Secure customer acceptance of installation and maintenance sign‑off.

Perform installation of new systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.

Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.

Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nanoLC required.

Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high‑voltage circuitry, and laser technology.

Experience with GLP and a regulated environment.

Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.

Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries and communicate with customers.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.

Ability to travel up to 80 % within the Mid‑Atlantic Region.

May require lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting; laboratory environment.

Valid driver’s license issued by state of residence and in good standing.

The estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is $85,000.00 to $133,000.00. Full‑time employees may also be eligible for a performance‑related incentive and the full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability insurance, employee assistance program, paid time off, vacation, sick time, holidays, and more.
