Overview
Cath Lab Technician — PRN. Provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Job Type: PRN Responsibilities
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Formulates an individualized plan of care, revises plan as indicated by the patient\'s response to treatment, and evaluates the overall plan daily for effectiveness. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, provider, patient and family, following chain of command. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient and protects the patient\'s rights. Licenses and Certifications
Licenses: Licensed by the state as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist; CI or RCIS - preferred Certifications: BLS; ACLS - obtained within 6 months of hire Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - preferred Required Skills
Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on-call policy. Required critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. EEOC Statement
