Position: Senior BOT Developer. Location: Riverchase, AL, USA. Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time. Duration: 7 months. Pay Rate: $80.00 per hour.
Work locations: Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, or Charlotte NC.
Overview A seasoned Senior BOT Developer with deep expertise in Conversational AI and team leadership. This role will lead the development and deployment of intelligent chatbots using LivePerson’s Conversation Builder, integrating AI capabilities to deliver scalable, secure, and engaging customer experiences.
Job Duties Chatbot Development
Design and build chatbots using LivePerson Conversation Builder, including standard, routing, FAQ, transactional, and post-conversation survey bots.
Prepare chatbot storyboards and user/process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Configure and manage agent connectors to ensure high availability and scalability (e.g., handling 999+ concurrent conversations).
Implement custom chatbot personas aligned with brand voice and customer journey goals.
Integrate chatbots with backend systems via APIs for automated use cases.
AI & Automation Integration
Leverage KnowledgeAI, Generative AI, and NLU engines to enhance bot intelligence and response quality.
Develop custom logic and flows using LivePerson’s Functions and SDKs.
Optimize chatbot performance using analytics, reporting, and feedback loops.
Leadership & Strategy
Lead a team of bot developers and automation engineers, providing mentorship and technical direction.
Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to define bot strategy and roadmap.
Ensure compliance with security, privacy and ethical AI standards.
Keep abreast of the latest chatbot trends, techniques and technologies.

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Required Experience / Skills
5+ years in chatbot development, with 2+ years on Conversational Cloud platforms (e.g., LivePerson LiveEngage).
Strong understanding of Conversation Builder, agent connectors, skills & campaigns, and API-based authentication.
Strong JavaScript skills.
Strong Node.js, REST APIs and JSON; and Python for bot logic and integrations.
Experience with AI/ML models, NLP engines (e.g., LUIS, GPT, BERT), and Generative AI.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture.
Proven leadership in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with LivePerson integrations.
Knowledge of workflow automation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
