Job Description BlueStar is seeking an energetic and experienced
Events Manager
interested in a stable role within an innovative, forward-thinking organization with a passion to produce incredible event experiences for our customers and partners. This role will lead the management of US-based events.
What We’ll Ask Of You
Manage the planning and execution of a full range of events, from small executive meetings to large multi-national events.
Be present at 10+ events per year; 25% travel expected.
Coordinate all aspects of events such as venue contract negotiation, creative development, logistical coordination of on-site needs (audiovisual, setup, food and beverage), registration management, in-house logistics, coordinating BlueStar booths/tables, and maintaining BlueStar brand excellence.
Work with marketing leadership on sponsorship guides and packages to garner investment.
Work with the internal MARCOM/Design team on all communications including pre-event, post-event, surveys, social and more.
Work with an internal staff of over 40 product managers to assist in arranging event materials.
Research and advise on new event tactics, best practices, and trends.
Manage internal and external event calendars.
Act as a single point of contact with internal & external stakeholders.
Troubleshoot all related event issues to resolution.
Manage production and purchasing for events through various external and internal resources.
Manage, reconcile, and analyze budgets per event.
Troubleshoot all attendee and sponsor issues to resolution.
Qualifications
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking is required.
The willingness to negotiate and exhibit financial responsibility.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
4-year degree is preferred.
Previous experience in event and/or banquet management.
Optimally, the candidate would work out of our Global Headquarters in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern KY region.
