Job Overview
Growing company in Vermont that has been in business for over 50 years has a terrific opportunity available for a Lead Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician. This is a day shift position with 8 hour shifts. The Lead Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of molds used in injection molding processes, ensuring they are in optimal condition for production.
Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and repair of molds used in injection molding processes, ensuring optimal condition for production.
Lead a team of mold maintenance technicians.
Troubleshoot mold issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain high‑quality standards and minimize downtime.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in mold maintenance with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Proficiency in mold repair, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Certifications such as RJG Master Molder, Lean Six Sigma, or similar preferred.
Familiarity with OSHA and ISO 9001 standards, basic computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office), and a commitment to safety and quality.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50‑75 lbs, work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
