Overview of the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-driven Controller to join our Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, reporting, and internal controls for our family of companies - Groove Technology Solutions, EpicVue, and Della. You’ll play a key role in guiding financial decisions, ensuring compliance, and providing leadership that supports the company’s continued growth and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions across multiple business units
Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Facilitate month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
Prepare and maintain internal and external financial reports for management, executives, and auditors
Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Manage annual financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Lead, train, and retain a skilled accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and professional growth
Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making
What You Bring
Must Haves:
Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
Experience managing audits and preparing financial statements
Proven ability to develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Nice-to-Have
Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification
Experience with Salesforce and Certinia (FinancialForce)
Background in the hospitality or construction industries
Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-division financial operations
