We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Team Leader to drive our technical operations and guide our multidisciplinary teams. This isn't just about managing projects; it's about leadership. You will be the central force steering a talented team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians from concept through to completion. Under the direction of a registered professional engineer, you will oversee the design, permitting, and construction of critical infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. What You\'ll Do
Lead & Mentor: Guide a dedicated team through all project phases, fostering professional growth and ensuring the quality and accuracy of all deliverables. Manage Key Projects: Take ownership of diverse land development projects, including water/sewer systems, stormwater management, and roadway improvements. Coordinate & Collaborate: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies (DERM, FDEP, WASD, Miami-Dade County), skillfully navigating technical challenges to keep projects on track. Oversee Technical Execution: Prepare and review essential technical documents, including drainage reports, grading plans, and utility designs. Ensure Compliance: Spearhead all permitting efforts, leveraging your expertise to meet regulatory standards and secure necessary approvals. Drive Business Growth: Contribute to business development by assisting with proposals, scoping new projects, and strengthening client relationships. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a related field). 5–10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering or land development, with experience on sites requiring complex environmental permitting. Proven ability to manage both municipal and private sector projects. Technical proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related design software. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a strong asset but is not required. This position is for local candidates only. Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with projects in residential communities, roadway improvements, or drainage infrastructure. Deep familiarity with the unique permitting and development processes within the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Expertise in permitting civil works on sites with environmental contamination, from former agricultural lands to commercial and industrial properties.
