Space Vision is an Apple Vision Pro app that places learners inside a scientifically-accurate solar system, complete with immersive lessons, hand-tracked interactions, and spatial audio. Built entirely in SwiftUI + RealityKit.
The app is already featured as a best app for Vision Pro in App Store, loved by thousands, and entirely bootstrapped.
Our tiny crew now needs a senior engineer to pair closely with the founder, owning major features and setting technical direction as we scale - all for meaningful equity up front.
What you’ll do
Co-lead the codebase
with the team: plan, architect, and implement core features end-to-end.
Establish engineering best practices
- CI, testing, code reviews, release cadence, performance budgets.
Oversee App Store releases : TestFlight, metadata, crash analytics, post-launch fixes.
Drive product direction
alongside design, and community feedback to maximize retention.
Must-have qualifications
Expert-level Swift 6 & SwiftUI - you write idiomatic async/await, Combine, and know the pitfalls of data-flow in reactive UIs.
VisionOS, RealityKit & ARKit - you’ve shipped at least one spatial-computing experience and can architect with latest available features.
3D math intuition - linear algebra, quaternions, coordinate-space conversions, and physics basics come naturally.
Reality Composer Pro toolkit - ShaderGraph, PBR materials, mesh import/retopology, lighting setups, spatial audio.
Automated testing in Xcode - writing and maintaining unit, integration, and UI tests (XCTest, RealityKit simulation APIs, or similar).
Git-centric collaboration - feature branches, PR reviews, semantic commits, and conflict resolution are second nature.
App Store Connect & TestFlight workflow.
Intrinsic passion for Apple platforms, Vision Pro, and Space exploration - you follow WWDC the way some people follow sports.
Nice-to-Have
3D content creation - Blender or similar for quick model tweaks, UV mapping, and baking textures.
GPU/Memory profiling - Xcode Instruments for performance measurement.
Background in astronomy, physics, or ed-tech content design.
What we offer
Meaningful equity
in a proven Vision Pro title.
Creative freedom to push the limits of spatial computing for education.
Remote-first culture, flexible hours.
