Job Overview RN – Pediatric CVICU – Sign on Bonus Available – OMC, Jeff Hwy – Full Time.

Responsibilities

Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.

Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family, and other groups or disciplines.

Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.

Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.

Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and promote improvement in the profession of nursing.

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, adapting explanations of services or procedures, and maintaining appropriate communication style.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications Education

– Registered nurse diploma required. Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Work Experience

– None required (preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing).

Certifications

– Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in a Clinical Specialty Area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Physical and Environmental Demands Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds continuously to move objects. Duties require walking, standing, and occasionally lifting or moving patients and equipment. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases is inherent to the patient care environment. Potential exposure to hazardous medications and waste.
