JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Orthopedic Surgeon Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Hobart & Valparaiso, IN (Chicagoland Area) Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Schedule: Monday Friday, with shared call responsibilities (1:6 rotation) On-Call Expectations: 1:6 rotation Start Date: Negotiable (credentialing typically 90120 days) PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Average Daily Volume / Census: Diverse orthopedic surgical caseload Admissions & Rounding: Included Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General Orthopedics; subspecialty interests supported FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS Beds in Department/Unit: Orthopedics Unit within a 458-bed hospital system EMR System: Epic fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII Specialty Backup: Comprehensive physician network with cardiology, oncology, neurology, and surgical support Support Staff: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports within Community Healthcare System physician group Reason for Opening: Growth and system expansion CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE Board
