As Lead Data Analyst for Safety & Security, you will transform complex data into strategic insights that directly shape decisions impacting millions of passengers and employees. By partnering across safety, security, and operational teams, you'll lead advanced analytics that drive risk mitigation, optimize resource deployment, and enhance safety outcomes nationwide. Your work will empower leadership with clear, data-driven narratives and foster a culture of analytical excellence throughout the organization. Essential functions include: Lead advanced data analysis to identify safety and security trends, risks, and inform strategic decision-making Develop and maintain scalable dashboards and models using tools like PowerBI, Python, and SQL Analyze historical and real-time data to support long-term planning and proactive risk mitigation. Ensure data integrity, compliance, and ethical use of sensitive safety and security information Continuously enhance data processes and methodologies to improve operational efficiency and insight quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, law enforcement, safety, operations, legal, and executive leadership, to align analytics with organizational goals Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders Build trusted relationships with internal and external partners to support data-driven initiatives Train and mentor a team of analysts and interns, fostering a culture of analytical excellence Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. 6 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, preferably within safety, law enforcement, or transportation sectors. Successful completion of a personal police background investigation. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in statistics, computer science, data science, or other quantitative field, OR equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. 8 years of relevant work experience. Relevant Master's degree preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include: Proven ability to work independently on multiple tasks Proven ability at project planning and at collaborating in groups Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to apply these efficiently to solve problems Demonstrated expertise in data sourcing, cleaning, wrangling, analysis, and visualization Proficiency in BI tools such as PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, SSRS, Tableau, or equivalent Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas Experience with Python and SQL, or other relevant programming and querying languages. Expert capability to explain analytical findings in clear terms that can be understood by non-technical audiences Excellent verbal and written communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization Critical thinker who can contribute to challenging assignments in a fast-paced environment Excellent decision-making skills and ability to maintain calmness under pressure Experience with GIS/Mapping software such as ArcGIS Desktop or ArcPro.
