The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the business requirements and defining the appropriate business system solutions. The analyst works directly with the business client, project manager, process modeler, and data modeler to define the business requirements for projects. With a broad understanding of subject areas throughout the business, works closely with the business clients and with various levels of IT staff. The Business Analyst also has responsibility for viability/feasibility estimating for proposed projects as well as participation in the actual development of business solutions. Qualifications
Experience Required:
4 years of progressively more responsible experience creating business data and process models using the following: JAD facilitation, Data Flow Diagrams, Work and Process Flow diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Models, Sequence Diagrams and Activity Diagrams, Use Case development. 3 years experience delivering software projects using RUP (Rational Unified Process) or other development methodology process. Experience in gathering technical requirements and building business case and justifications (ROI). Knowledge of user interface design. Strong customer focus and attention to detail. Ability to work within a team structure and ability to multitask. Ability to lead and delegate. Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills. Excellent and proven documentation skills. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Education Required: preferred Bachelors of Science degree in CIS or related technical/business field Additional Information
