Position Type: Full-Time W2, Direct Hire Pay: $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 Location: On-Site, Must be in one of the following locations: Washington D.C., Arlington, VA, St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, or Colorado Springs, CO. Years of Experience Required: Overview As a Software Engineer, you'll do more than write code-you'll design and deliver end-to-end software solutions that power mission-critical decisions. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain production-grade applications using modern programming languages (Python, Rust, Go, Scala, or Java). Develop and support RESTful APIs and software interfaces for scalable, secure data exchange. Configure, implement, and optimize software systems in production environments. Integrate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and manage source control systems (Git). Apply expertise in Linux systems, networking, and containerization technologies (Docker, Podman). Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity best practices, secure coding standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI and machine learning solutions that align with evolving client needs. Required Skills & Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance 4+ years of experience building production-grade applications using modern programming languages. 2+ years of experience building or maintaining RESTful APIs. 1+ years of experience configuring and implementing production software systems. Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and Git source control. Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, and containerization (Docker, Podman). Knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, compliance, and secure coding practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of software engineering experience; OR 9+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS services and emulation environments (e.g., LocalStack). Familiarity with secure on-prem deployments using hypervisors (e.g., ESXi). Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management (Ansible). Experience developing or integrating with Agentic AI solutions. Background integrating with SIEMs, firewalls, or endpoint protection systems. Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (on-prem or air-gapped). TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Relevant certifications (Security+, Linux+, DevOps).
