We strive for excellence in everything we do and aim to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. We are looking for a DELI ASSOCIATE to join our Rowe's team. The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness, and product assortment is maintained in the deli department. This person will be receiving, stocking, and rotating product, taking special orders, and providing exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide exceptional service including greeting customers and answering questions, with a positive attitude. Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays. May operate a slicer, hot oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale, and other deli equipment. Maintain excellent standards of sanitation and freshness. Assist in other duties as assigned. Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures. Assist as needed to ensure the success of the store. QUALIFICATIONS: At least 18 years of age. Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service. Ability to read, write, and do simple math. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to work well with others and work well as a team. A passion for serving others. Food prep experience is preferred. PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: Deli associates perform their duties primarily in the deli section. Work involves walking, bending, standing, lifting, and carrying products up to 60 lbs, hand-eye coordination, and interaction with customers and associates. Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and fellow associates.
