Software Engineer, Simulation

You will be the Software Engineer, Simulation for the F-35 SILs, F-22 SILs and/or ADP team. This team builds various F-35/F-22 man-in-the-loop simulation products that combine simulation executive software, middleware, third-party vendor models, internally developed models, and tools. As the Software Engineer, Simulation you will be developing and integrating real-time simulation software applications for the F-35 SILs, F-22 SILs and/or ADP team. Responsibilities include: Laboratory software development within the LM Aeronautics Simulation and System Test (SST) Team Design, develop and integrate low-to-medium fidelity models (such as aircraft weapon, sensor, environment and threat models) Real-time simulation and/or infrastructure software in support of simulation and system integration labs in various high order software languages (C++, Ada, Java, etc.) You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Experience in the use of Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems. Software development in high order languages (C++, Java and/or Ada). Experience with software development tools and processes. Experience with Electronic Warfare or Radar systems. Desired Skills: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Strong mathematical skills. Experience or coursework in modeling and simulation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with real-time simulation software development. Experience in Electronic Attack. Experience with, or knowledge of, basic aircraft flight dynamics (aerodynamics, engineering mechanics and fluid mechanics, equations of motion, coordinate transformation), and avionics, especially as related to simulation. Experience with aircraft flight controls and automatic flight controls. Must be able to work in a team environment and work with internal and external customers. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
