Driving & Delivery Responsibilities:

Safely operate CDL Class A or B trucks and deliver materials to customers and job sites, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct daily vehicle inspections (both pre- and post-trip) to ensure safety compliance. Load, strap, and unload materials at destinations using a Moffett forklift or manual handling when necessary. Secure materials on trucks using metal straps, tie-downs, or other safety measures. Utilize GPS technology to optimize delivery routes while considering weight limits, road conditions, and traffic. Ensure deliveries are accurate and documented by taking photos of delivereditems and submitting them to dispatch. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers regarding delivery timelines, route changes, and job site conditions. Report any accidents, vehicle issues, or delays to dispatch or the reporting manager. Provide excellent customer service while delivering materials to customers. Always represents the company in a professional manner Assist in loading and unloading trucks in company yards or at customer sites. Pull materials to build loads, ensuring load accuracy before transportation. Operate forklifts and Moffett trucks to transfer materials safely. Conduct inventory checks and manage physical inventory as necessary. Compliance & Safety:

Follow all federal, state, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs, including records of safety inspections and repairs. Adhere to company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation standards. Pass random drug and alcohol testing as required by DOT regulations. Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of CDL driving experience (Class A or B). Experience transporting lumber, building materials, and heavy loads preferred. Moffett operation experience preferred, and the candidate must be willing to learn Moffett operation. Pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and Human Performance Evaluation. Knowledge of construction materials and lumber yards is preferred. Licensing & Certification:

Valid CDL Class A or B license (as required for the position). Must be 21 years of age. DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one before employment). Forklift and Moffett certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months). Must pass background check, drug screening, and physical evaluation. Must register with the FMCSA and the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Skills & Physical Requirements:

Strong understanding of DOT regulations and traffic laws. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. unassisted and move heavier materials with assistance. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, standing, and lifting in various weather conditions. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and involves exposure to noise, dust, and moving forklifts. Position Type & Expected Hours

Full-time position, 40+ hours per week with occasional overtime. Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with some Saturdays required.
