Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Multi-Cloud (TS/SCI)
Location: Charlottesville, VA (Hybrid 46x onsite per month; must live within 100 miles) Optional Office: Arlington, VA Clearance: Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Why This Role Matters Bring your cloud expertise and clearance to a mission-critical role supporting national security programs. As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you'll design, secure, and scale multi-cloud environments while ensuring compliance with rigorous security standards. This is more than a cloud operations role you'll lead at scale, influence mission success, and grow your career in a cleared environment. What You'll Do - Engineer multi-cloud environments, connecting and securing Azure + AWS with hybrid integrations - Deploy and automate infrastructure using Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps methodology - Containerize and scale workloads using Kubernetes (AKS/EKS or similar) - Implement cloud governance: deploy Azure Landing Zones, develop policies, and enforce STIG compliance - Collaborate with DevSecOps and engineering teams to deliver mission-critical solutions What You Bring - 2+ years Kubernetes production experience (AKS, EKS, or similar) - 1+ year deploying Azure Landing Zones and implementing policies - Hands-on Terraform experience in production environments (CI/CD, GitOps) - Familiarity with AWS networking (VPC, DNS, TLS; Direct Connect a plus) - Security+ (IAT Level II) and at least one cloud certification (Azure or AWS) Preferred / Nice-to-Have: AWS Direct Connect, Crossplane, updated Azure/AWS certifications, Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent Why You'll Love It - Lead at scale with SME-level autonomy and influence - Grow professionally: paid certifications, advanced training, recognition in cleared cloud operations - Flexible hybrid work in Charlottesville or Arlington, VA - Comprehensive benefits: 401K (100% match up to 6%), PTO, medical/dental/vision/life/disability coverage - Gym membership eligibility, home office setup, team events, and more
