Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist (Levels 7/8), you'll work directly with business partners to identify opportunities, analyze data, and build models that optimize operations and support strategic initiatives. You'll design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics using modern data science tools and cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on development, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering actionable insights. What You'll Do: Hands-On Analytics & Model Development:
Develop, test, and deploy machine learning, AI, and statistical models to solve high-value business problems. Apply modern data science tools (Python, R, cloud platforms like AWS/Azure) for data wrangling, modeling, and visualization. Build and maintain scalable solutions for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Business Partnership & Value Delivery:
Collaborate with business units to understand challenges and identify opportunities for analytics-driven improvements. Translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver actionable insights. Communicate findings through clear visualizations and presentations.
Data Acquisition & Management:
Ensure relevant data is acquired, cleaned, and prepared for analysis. Work with data engineers to access and integrate data from various sources.
Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness:
Stay current with industry trends in AI, GenAI, machine learning, and statistical modeling. Participate in forums and research to bring innovative solutions to AEP.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Work closely with other data scientists and analysts; may provide guidance to junior team members. Collaborate with external partners or vendors as needed.
What We're Looking For: Education: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, engineering, economics, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Skills Proficiency with analytics and statistical software (Python, R, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data science workflows. Experience developing and deploying machine learning and AI models in production environments. Hands-on experience with modern AI techniques, including generative AI (LLMs, RAG), agentic AI (autonomous agents, workflow automation), and computer vision (image/video analysis). Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and version control. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
