Morgan Stanley Technology Summer Analyst Program (New York)
Overview:
This 10-week program offers aspiring technologists a unique opportunity to experience financial technology at Morgan Stanley. Participants will be placed within a specific development, engineering, or business & data analytics team, gaining hands-on experience through real-world projects. Training Program:
The program begins with an induction day providing an overview of Morgan Stanley, followed by placement into your team. Design, develop, and maintain applications for various business units Meet with clients to gather and analyze requirements Make system design decisions Evaluate, integrate, and develop software Test and deploy applications to production Projects include developing electronic trading systems, evolving workflows, and managing lifecycle capabilities. Enterprise Engineering Teams:
Develop systems to support Morgan Stanley’s operations Provide tools, applications, and platforms such as networks, hardware, operating systems, and databases Projects include website engineering, managing Windows infrastructure, and developing reporting systems. Business & Data Analytics Teams:
Engage with business units to analyze and validate requirements Leverage technical skills in data analytics, data science, and process optimization Qualifications and Skills: General:
GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and analytical skills No prior financial services experience required Development/Enterprise Engineering:
Studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant technical majors Understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, C#) Experience with object-oriented development Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory Strong database and scripting skills Business & Data Analytics:
Studying towards a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields Experience documenting IT requirements Strong technical knowledge Compensation:
The expected base pay ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, with additional bonuses and benefits depending on the role.
