Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie. The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition diagnoses and treats digestive problems using advanced diagnostic tools and treatments. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population within the Cleveland Clinic system. Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care to patients. Administer medications. Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files. Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions. Implement pain management assessments and documentation. Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. Follow Code Blue protocol. Minimum qualifications
Graduate of Accredited LPN program Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of infection control practices Experience with technology Computer literacy Preferred qualifications
One year of clinical experience Physical requirements and safety
Knowledge of all aspects of patient care including assessment, planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of patient progress in conjunction with the R.N. or physician. Frequent walking, sitting, and standing. Frequent talking and listening when giving instructions and explanations. Frequent use of phone, fax machines, and occasional use of computer. Manual handling: lifting and moving patients and equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 50 pounds with assistance or mechanical devices. Stooping, pushing and pulling to move patients into position for treatment; reaching and manipulation of equipment. Indoor work in air-conditioned areas; potential exposure to blood and blood-borne pathogens; clinical exposure requires PPE. Personal protective equipment
High exposure to infectious materials; wear gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate; follow Standard Precautions. Pay and employment details
