Overview
We are currently seeking a Material Planner with experience in MRP systems (Dynamics 365 desired) and working knowledge of BOM's and production planning. The candidate will work within the Supply Chain department with focus on Material's Management, Purchasing, Expediting, Assembly Support and Process Control. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Value Stream Planner and Plant Manager on managing raw material for production orders and expediting inbound materials as required for the successful delivery of products to our customers. This is a permanent, full time position based out of our plant in Duncan. Responsibilities
Support the assembly team with part availability status. Possess an unwavering mindset where your view the assemblers as your customers Check, monitor and manage component availability for assembly production Work with suppliers to determine delivery dates as necessary (both domestic and International) with an emphasis to expedite orders as required Manage the inventory in the MRP system, including working with the Shipping/Receiving department as necessary Support the Plant Manager in the scouting process of new suppliers to build up the domestic supply chain as required Requirements
Previous experience in a Buyer/Planner role, with knowledge of Bill of Material processing a plus Experience with MRP systems especially with Purchasing and Warehousing modules Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Advanced computer skills and experience Strong Verbal and Written communication as required for expediting and order purchasing Technical drawing interpretation is a plus Knowledge of Supply Chain Terminology Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment High school diploma required. 2- or 4-year degree in a Business/Supply Chain curriculum is a plus The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in the role in similar fields. Will be a dynamic person, with a self-starter and can-do attitude Dynamic personality, ready to move from one task to others following priorities and needs Being a Team Player and willing to deal with different departments in order to ensure Customer's needs are understood and fulfilled About us
