Artificial Intelligence Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

The Artificial Intelligence Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will lead the secure design, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence solutions across the bank. The Artificial Intelligence Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will serve as the bridge between cybersecurity, technology, development, and business operations, ensuring that all AI-driven tools, models, and platforms are integrated securely and aligned with regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards. The Artificial Intelligence Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will play a key role in protecting the bank's data, AI models, and infrastructure while enabling innovation in customer service, fraud detection, compliance monitoring, and operational efficiency. Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with AI/ML teams to design and implement secure architectures for AI systems, including large language models, predictive analytics platforms, and automated decision-making tools. Implement encryption, access control, monitoring, and auditing for AI model development and deployment. Ensure AI supply chain integrity by evaluating third-party AI/ML tools, APIs, and model dependencies. Identify and mitigate AI-specific threats such as model poisoning, adversarial attacks, data leakage, prompt injection, and model inversion. Conduct penetration testing exercises on AI systems to proactively identify vulnerabilities. Develop and maintain AI-specific incident response playbooks and coordinate response to AI-related security incidents. Collaborate with data, IT, and cybersecurity teams to integrate AI securely into fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and customer experience systems. Provide expert guidance on AI security to executives, business units, and technology partners. Lead training and awareness programs on secure AI use for developers and business stakeholders. Ensure compliance with banking, data privacy, and AI-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, OCC, FFIEC). Establish secure AI development lifecycle (SAIDLC) practices within the bank's broader software development lifecycle. Work with legal, risk, and compliance teams to integrate responsible AI governance into daily operations. Develop monitoring systems for AI model behavior to detect bias, drift, or anomalies that may indicate compromise. Integrate AI into daily banking operations such as automated customer support, risk scoring, and internal process automation. Ensure that AI-powered decisioning systems are explainable, auditable, and resilient against manipulation. Integrate AI security tools with existing security infrastructure such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platforms to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field required; Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Science preferred. CISSP, CCSP, GIAC (Machine Learning Security), or AI ethics/security certifications preferred. Minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience. Minimum of 2 years of AI/ML security, data protection, or secure software engineering experience. Proven experience securing AI/ML environments (on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid). Advanced knowledge of machine learning pipelines, data protection techniques, and adversarial AI defenses. Strong background in secure system design, Active Directory, current operating systems, architecture, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including network security, endpoint protection, and threat hunting, alongside deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, AI security tools, and high-level understanding of programming languages. Advanced knowledge of enterprise security tools like SIEM, EDR, CASB, and a solid grasp of cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.) and Active Directory. Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting AI in financial services (OCC, FFIEC, GDPR, NIST AI RMF). Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
